About Us
From a Garage Frustration to a British-Built Solution.
Hi there and welcome to Motorcycle Turntables.
This business started, like many good ideas, with a problem. Our founder, Nigel, has been riding bikes for over 40 years. From mopeds to Harleys, Hondas to his latest pride and joy, the Triumph Rocket 3. Over the years, the bikes got bigger, but the garages didn’t. And like many riders with heavier bikes and shorter legs, Nigel found that turning a bike around in a tight spot, especially on wet or rough concrete, could quickly go from awkward to dangerous.
After searching through forums and testing out various dollies and turntables on the market, nothing quite hit the mark. Some weren’t wide enough, others couldn’t take the weight. Most had wheels suited only for smooth tiled floors - not the gritty, uneven garage surfaces many of us have. And for bikes with just a side stand, those tiny centre-stand turntables? Useless.
So, Nigel took matters into his own hands. Working with a team of engineers, he designed something completely different, a rugged, low-profile motorcycle turntable that could rotate heavy bikes 360° with ease, on virtually any surface, in all weather. And because us bikers are detail-driven, he added some clever features too: anchor points for security, built-in lighting for maintenance, and high-quality, weather-resistant materials, all built right here in the UK.
Today, while Nigel has passed the throttle to the team, we’ve proudly kept his original visions and passion alive. We’re still building in Great Britain and still designing biker gear that’s made to last with a passion for motorcycles at the heart of everything we do.
Thanks for stopping by.
Let’s keep things turning.
